Employment Law

Oklahoma is an "employment at will" state. This means that, in the absence of a contract, either the employer or the employee may end the employment at any time. Common language depicting this type of employment states that an employer is free to discharge employees for "good cause, bad cause, or no cause." Note that the employee is equally free to terminate the employment relationship.

Employment issues may involve wrongful termination, age discrimination, disability discrimination, race discrimination, sexual harassment, gender or sexual discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, or the Family and Medical Leave Act.
